Taj Mahal Travel with Bandhavgarh National Park

Bandhavgarh National Park, situated amid the airy Vindhya hills of Madhya Pradesh, have established a reputation as one of the best places in India to observe Tigers.
Although a relatively small reserve when first established in 1968, it was enlarged twenty years later to include adjacent tracts of Sal forest and this extension has proved very beneficial for the Tiger population. The 105 square kilometers of park area, open for tourists is estimated to have a population of 22 tigers, a density of one tiger for every 4.77 square kilometers.
Like many Tiger reserves in India, the area was formerly the hunting reserve of a Maharaja and contains much evidence of its royal associations, most spectacular being the ruins of a huge hilltop fort, which dominates the centre of the reserve.

Day 1 Delhi: - Welcome to the luxurious path to enjoy your holidays.
Detailed Itinerary: Arrive to a warm welcome in Delhi. Our representative will be at the Air port to receive you and will assist you to your hotel where you can relax for the remaining part of the day. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 2 Delhi
After an early breakfast in hotel start your Taj Mahal with Bandhavgarh wildlife safari Tours.

OLD DELHI - A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi involves the following places:-
Raj Ghat - It is the place where the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948, soon after India attained it freedom.
Jama Masjid - This is the largest mosque in India.
Red Fort - Delhi’s most magnificent monument, the Red Fort, was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, in 1638 A.D. Enclosed in this glorious Fort is Diwan-I-am, the hall meant for public audiences; Diwan-I-Khas, where private audiences were granted; Rang Mahal, the water cooled apartment of the royal ladies; the Pearl Mosque, a lovely, ornate dream in white marble.
Enjoy Cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sightseeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the following places:-
Humayun's Tomb: - It is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture.
Qutub Minar: - The Qutub Minar made of red sandstone rising to the height of 72.5mts is an architectural marvel of the 13th century.
India Gate: - The majestic 42 meters high arch was built as a memorial to the Indian soldiers killed in the World War I. From the base of the arch one can get a good view of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Akshardham Temple: - Newly constructed temple of Swani Narayan Trust, Birla temple - known as Laxmi Narayan temple.
Overnight stay will be at Delhi.
Day 3 Delhi - Agra: - City of the ‘Taj’.
Proceed for Agra after breakfast. After reaching there, visit different places and get the real life amusement.

TAJ MAHAL - The epitome of love is the major attraction of people far and near. Whether one is Indian or Non-Indian, seeing Taj Mahal is everyone’s dream. So, it is justly classified as one of the most resplendent tourism destinations in India. It is India’s most terra incognita monument and is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its architectural beauty has never been surpassed. It is widely considered as one of the most beautiful buildings in the world and stands as a symbol of eternal love.
It was built by a Muslim, Emperor Shah Jahan (died 1666 C.E.) in the memory of his dear wife and Queen Mumtaz Mahal at Agra, India. It is an "elegy in marble" or some say an expression of a "dream."

AGRA FORT - The rusty red sandstone fort of Agra was commenced by Emperor Akbar in 1556 on an older on built by Sher Shah Suri’s son Salim Shah.
It stands majestically on the banks of river Yamuna and four successive Mughal Emperors helped in its construction and beautification. Its 20 mtr. High massive walls are of 2.5kms perimeter and contain elegant Moti Masjid and the palaces.
The most remarkable thing about this fort is that it was transformed from a mere military structure into a magnificent complex within a very short period of time. The following buildings within the fort are worth visiting:- Moti Mahal, Diwan-I-Aam, Diwan-I-Khas, Musammam Burj, Khas Mahal, Shish Mahal, Anguri Bagh, Jahangir’s Palace
After visiting the above places, proceed for Badalgarh fort. Built by the famous emperor Badal Singh, in 1475.
Overnight will be at Agra.
Day 4 Agra - Bandhavgarh
After an early breakfast in hotel. Take a train from Agra station to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. Upon arrival at Bandhavgarh check - in at your pre booked Lodge / Tents. Overnight accommodation will be at Bandhavgarh tiger reserves.
Day 5 Bandhavgarh national park: -
Days at Bandhavgarh begin in the early morning; enter the park before sunrise using the Gori Gate or Tala Gate.

Detailed Itinerary: - It is situated above 441 m from sea level at Tala on the plateau of the Vindhya Mountain range in Shahdol, surrounded by hill. Once it was a hunting ground of Rewa Kings, it was named Sikargarh. Rewa became a part of Madhya Pradesh. It is famous for its white tiger.
Take jungle safari tours in morning & evening on jeep drive / Elephant ride to enjoy tiger safari.
Day 6 Bandhavgarh Wildlife Park.
In Bandhavgarh, after an early breakfast then start the day for roaming in Bandhavgarh Wildlife Park.

Detailed Itinerary: - Initially we will be looking for signs of Tiger movement, pugmarks and listening for the alarm calls of Langur, monkeys, Chital and Sambar Deer. If the elephant teams have successfully tracked Tigers, leave jeep and venture deep into the forest by elephant, to gain fantastic close views of Tigers. Back in jeeps; continue game drive before returning to lodge for breakfast. Time is now available to explore the lodge grounds or simply relax. After lunch re-enter the park by jeep looking for wildlife and Tigers. Just before sunset predator activity increases and Tigers, Leopards and Sloth Bears may be spotted. Returning to lodge there is time for a shower before dinner.

When the sunsets wandering Chital Deer, Wild Boar and Jackals, are attracted into the peaceful grounds and the well-established fruit trees attract many resident birds. While nearby the Indian Wolf and Wild Dog have been spotted. As we sip a pre-dinner drink, the evening chorus of the Mottled Wood Owl in the branches of the Sal trees and packs of communicating Jackals begins.
In-between game drives explore forest trails, which lead into thicker jungle and to traditional tribal villages.
Day 7 Bandhavgarh Tiger safari
Take an early breakfast then in Bandhavgarh. Morning & Evening Jeep drive / Elephant safari in the park. Overnight stay will be lodge / tents.

Detailed Itinerary: - The pattern of early morning and afternoon excursions will be interspersed with periods of relaxation back at our accommodation during the heat of midday. Although Tigers are the star attraction at Bandhavgarh, the supporting cast of mammals and birds is very impressive, the latter including such species as Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Plum-headed Parakeet, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Greater Racket-tailed Drongo and Asian Paradise Flycatcher among a total of over 250 species recorded in the district.
Tour members with an interest in ornithology will value the time between game drives as an opportunity to explore some of the habitats close to our base.
Tigers and the more rarely seen Leopards, have no shortage of prey in the reserve. The Spotted Deer or Chital is a favourite item on the Tiger menu and several thousand of these delightful deer inhabit the park.
Other species found here in varying abundance include; Chinkara, Chowsinga, Wild Boar, Sambar, Muntjac and Nilgais. Herds of the Asian Bison, or Gaur, formerly Inhabited the Reserve but impressive beast has not been seen at Bandhavgarh since 1998 although a closely monitored programme for the reintroduction of the Gaur is planned within couple of years.
A hunting pack of wild dogs may also be seen on occasions. Mammal sightings always require a degree of luck, particularly when the species is essentially nocturnal or reclusive but each outing in the reserve will at least provide a chance to meet one of the rarer inhabitants such as Sloth Bear, Indian fox, Jackal, Wolf, Ratel, Striped Hyenas, Jungle Cat or Indian Pangolin.

Day 8 Bandhavgarh Wildlife Safari
Take early breakfast in hotel & then in Bandhavgarh tiger reserves.
Key Features: -
• Morning & Evening Jeep safari / Elephant ride in the park to view jungle Gaming.
• Watch other species of mammals roaming around the park.
Detailed Itinerary: - In the park, more predictable are the sounders of Wild Boar rooting among the vegetation, Indian Hares, the lively little Palm Squirrels that seem to be constantly in a state of agitation, and several members of the mongoose tribe.
Common Langurs and Rhesus Macaques are also plentiful, the former enjoying an elevated view of the forest as they devour their favourite leaves and often the first creature to bark out a

Day 9 Bandhavgarh - Delhi
Take early breakfast in hotel & then in the morning jeep safari in the park to view wildlife gaming. In the evening take a train to Delhi.
Day 10 Delhi - Scheduled Destinations
Arrive Delhi Railway Station. Later transfer to the international airport to catch flight for your Scheduled destinations with sweet memories of Taj Mahal & Bandhavgarh wildlife safari.
