Taj Mahal Tours India
Taj Mahal, the epitome of love is the major attraction of people far and near. Whether one is Indian or Non-Indian, seeing Taj Mahal is everyone’s dream. So, it is justly classified as one of the most resplendent travel destinations in India. It is India’s most terra incognita monument and is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its architectural beauty has never been surpassed. It is widely considered as one of the most beautiful buildings in the world and stands as a symbol of eternal love.It was built by a Muslim, Emperor Shah Jahan (died 1666 C.E.) in the memory of his dear wife and Queen Mumtaz Mahal at Agra, India. It is an "elegy in marble" or some say an expression of a "dream."
Taj Mahal (meaning Crown Palace) is a Mausoleum that houses the grave of Queen Mumtaz Mahal at the lower chamber. The grave of Shah Jahan was added to it later. The construction of the monument started in the year 1631A.D. and took almost 22 years to be complete. The largest and one of the most spectacular structures of the world was complete in the 1653 A.D.
It is built entirely of white marble. Its stunning architectural beauty is beyond adequate description, particularly at dawn and sunset. The Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon. On a foggy morning, the visitors experience the Taj as if suspended when viewed from across the Yamuna River. The tomb is the central focus of the entire complex of the Taj Mahal. Like most Mughal tombs, the basic elements are Persian in origin. Throughout the complex, passages from the Qur'an are used as decorative elements.
It attracts millions of visitors annually, including more than 200,000 from overseas. The ticket of visitng the Taj is very reasonable so that each and every person can afford easily. Most of the tourists visit in the cooler months of October, November and February as at this time it glows like moon which looks really very beautiful especially at night.
